Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a non-surgical, safe and gentle procedure that deeply exfoliates and polishes the skin to stimulate new cell growth. Using a gentle vacuuming system and diamond tips, microdermabrasion removes dead skin cells and unclogs pores.

Sonophoresis is a relaxing, non-invasive treatment that uses ultrasonic (soundwave) technology, warmth, and motion energy. Treatment products applied following sonophoresis are absorbed up to 800 times deeper into the skin.

It is suitable for all skin types and delivers excellent results.

Microdermabrasion and sonophoresis combined medi-facials are an effective treatment for:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Acne, blackheads, and congestion
  • Pigmentation
  • Minor scar revision
  • Rejuvenation of dull, tired skin
  • Open pores
  • Age revealing hands and feet.

A Microplus+ medi-facial treatment can take from 45 minutes up to 90 minutes, depending on your skin condition and the area being treated.

Your skin will feel refreshed, smoother, and cleaner after just one treatment. To gain the maximum benefits, a course of six treatments at two weekly intervals is recommended. Your skin care professional will discuss with you the most suitable treatment program for your skin.

Waxing and Tinting

Hot wax is spread thickly onto the skin and allowed to dry slightly before its gently peeled away. The benefits include fewer in-grown hairs, less breakage and therefore longer re-growth periods. The wax also promotes the skin hydration and is highly recommended for sensitive areas. Strip wax is recommended for thicker/less sensitive skin, for example legs, arms, back, chest and shoulders. A thin layer of wax is applied to the skin and is then removed using a paper strip. We also offer organic strip wax ‘Sugar waxing’.

Our hot wax can grab hairs as short as 1mm in length. Our strip wax can remover hair as short as 2mm. Everyone has different growth cycle but we are generally able to wax areas that have been shaved 7-10 days earlier. However, with larger parts of the body like arms/legs, we suggest leaving it 3 weeks before waxing it. Clients that have not wax or shaved for a long period of time need not worry as our therapists will trim the hair to a suitable length for waxing.

To keep the waxed area clean and avoid heat & friction during the next 24 hours. This means:

  • No hot baths or showers (warm water only)
  • No saunas, hot tubs or steam treatments
  • No tanning (sunbathing, sun beds or fake tans)
  • No sport, gym, work or other exercise.
  • Avoid scratching or touching the treated area with unwashed hands
  • Avoid swimming chlorinated pools
  • Do not apply deodorants, body sprays, powders, lotions, or other products to the area, other than those recommended by your therapist.

Please note: Some slight soreness, small bumps & redness are common & perfectly normal temporary reactions, particularly if this is your first wax. These symptoms should subside over 24-48 hours. If you experience persistent redness or irritation, or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Basic bikini  involves hair being removed from the top and the sides of the bikini area

G String wax is the  same as bikini wax, however the top can be taken slightly higher with more hair removed underneath following the line of a G-string.

Brazilian wax Removes all of the hair from underneath and leaves only a strip, thumb print or small triangle of hair at the front or all off. Hair is also completely removed from in between the buttocks.

You will be required to remove your underwear for Brazilian waxing. Disposable paper underwear is provided for basic bikini and G-string – or you can wear your own if you prefer.

You may notice a small amount of growth after a week or so. It can take up to four treatments for your hair to get into a growth cycle that gives best results. We recommend waxing every 4 weeks to maintain your smooth appearance.
